/EINPresswire.com/ Interleague Baseball has returned and will put the Cubs up against two of the most storied franchises in baseball: Detroit Tigers (June 12-June 14) and the Boston Red Sox (June 15-June 17). To start off the week, the Tigers will make a rare appearance at Wrigley Field. So why is this such a significant series? In addition to the Cubs and Tigers playing each other only a handful of times these two teams have faced each other 4 times in the World Series (1907, 1908, 1935, 1945), Why is this important? It’s important because the Cubs have seen the Tigers more than any other team in the World Series.
In addition to the Tigers playing at Wrigley Field, the Boston Red Sox will also be making an infrequent appearance to the Friendly Confines. This will mark the first time that former Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein will go up against the Franchise that he helped deliver two World Series Titles.
With the Tigers and Red Sox making rare appearance to Wrigley Field, we felt it was a good time for the fans of these teams to be apart of these rememberable series, as two of the oldest American League Franchises will go up against one of the oldest National League Franchises. To help commemorate Interleague Baseball at Wrigley Field, Clark Street Sports will be selling merchandise of these two series at our Wrigleyville Locations. For the first Interleague Series against the Detroit Tigers, Clark Street Sports will be selling Cubs vs. Tigers hats.
As the weekend approaches, we’ll also feature merchandise that will allow the fans of both Chicago and Boston to remember this series both now and in the future. To help fans recall this event, our Clark Street Sports Stores Wrigleyville Locations will be selling Cubs vs. Boston Red Sox hats and Cubs vs. Boston t-shirts. The hats and shirts will feature both the year and logos of the two ball clubs.
If you are unable to make it out to Wrigley Field for either of these series, we will be selling this merchandise online at http://www.clarkstreetsports.com. Who know the next time these two Franchises will meet up again so make sure you’re apart of the 2012 Interleague League Series.
