U.S. – Comcast cable head Neil Smith recently addressed an International CES panel, stating there would soon be significant changes in the company’s customer service. As reported by Consumerist, Smith promised that customer service would become the company’s “best product” as it faces backlash over very poor scores on customer satisfaction surveys.

Neil is quoted as stating, “We do need to transform our customer experience, and I think we have a lot of work to do…It will take time, but we’ll get it done.”

As noted in the report, in the 2014 American Customer Satisfaction Index, Comcast’s scores were the lowest out of all of the companies scored other than Time Warner Cable.

Smit further stated in addressing the customer satisfaction issue, “We expect that customer service will soon be one of our best products.”
