Waxahachie, TX – One person was killed in an 18-wheeler crash that occurred near Waxahachie. WFAA reports that the accident took place after an 18-wheeler that was traveling eastbound was hit by a Chevy SUV head on. The SUV had reportedly crossed over the center line.
Both vehicles burst into flames during the accident. The service road in both directions on FM 1446 was shut down by police after the crash.
Flames from the explosion caused a nearby pasture to catch fie, burning 20 acres.
The driver of the semi-truck was not reportedly injured in the accident.
